I've been curious to know whether the punches and kicks I've been feeling are punches and kicks or kicks and punches, so I asked the doc if he was head down yet. After feeling around a bit she couldn't tell so she decided to take a look. You couldn't imagine my excitement. I love being able to take a peek at him. Turns out he is in the ready and waiting position of Head Down. He was in a funny position so we couldn't get a good profile shot of him, but we got to see him playing with his toes! So amazingly adorable. Here's a little picture from this morning. He's arching his neck back or something, hence the not so great profile shot.
I finally decided today that I am going to get the flu shot. I've done extensive reading for the past two weeks on the pros and cons. Any complications due to a flu shot I have found were linked to mercury. Because they now have a preservative free shot, I feel safer in getting it. At this point, it's really more about protecting him when he is born as he will be receiving the antibodies from the shot for the first 6 months of his life. He will be born during the height of flu season, so that was a major deciding point for me. Trust me, I'm not excited about my decision, but its no longer about me, it's about him.
