In the 2 months that you have been on this planet, you have changed lives in so many ways. Your father and I are still in disbelief that you, this amazing, tiny human being, belongs to us. We are still in awe that we made you! From the minute we found out about you, everything in our lives changed for the better. We couldn't be happier and more in love with each other and with you. Your grandparents are also so in love with you. They call every day to "Skype" with you. Just to see you, even through the computer, is such an honor and a treat. Your aunts are the proudest aunts I have ever known. And everyone else, well, everyone gushes over you. Even strangers stop me in the street to let me know how gorgeous you are.
I am so happy that nursing has been going well. It was so challenging in the beginning and now it is going smoothly. You latch on effortlessly. You have also started to reach for me and grab or kind of caress my chest while you nurse. It is so touching. I am also getting better at reading your cues. We are more in Sync than ever.
We still have our challenging moments, and oh, how I do miss sleep, but I wouldn't trade any of it. I am so happy to have you in my life. Oh, did I mention you are now smiling at us in recognition? It is the most beautiful smile I have ever seen. When it is directed towards me, it melts my heart.
