Happy 10 Month Birthday, Little D!

Or, I should say, Big D! I can't believe how much you've grown!! I was having a nostalgic moment recently, and was browsing through my old iPhone photos of you from your first trip home to now. I can't believe you were so tiny. Those days are such a blur now. I'm sad that I barely remember those first couple of months. I was so new at this. I barely had held a baby in my arms before you. I used to tell people I was scared of babies, and here I was with one of my own.

And now here you are, 10 months later, so big and full of life! Your personality is shining through. I can tell you are going to be just as silly as your dad. I sure do hope so. I love that he can make me laugh so hard, all the time. You love to make funny faces at me and you think it's hilarious when I make them back at you. You are also quite tender with all your kisses.

You have new tricks now:
* When Oma says "nariz nariz" (nose nose)- you know to eskimo kiss.
* When Oma says "ojitos" (eyes) - you squint your eyes and blink as if you were trying to wink at us
* You know as soon as we put your sweater on, or strap you into your car seat that you are going somewhere and you wave bye-bye.
* Oma also taught you how to say no by wagging your index finger. It's pretty cute, but I have a feeling it's going to backfire on us once you get into your "no" stage!!
* You are starting to stand a few seconds on your own, but you haven't dared yet to take a step. You quickly sit yourself down and crawl super fast to where you want to go.
* You love to climb. You can now climb up the stairs in the living room. Today, while I was holding your hands so you could walk around, you walked straight to your music table and lifted your leg up and took a giant step up onto it. You were happy to be standing on your toys.

Here's today's photoshoot (I lost your monthly birthday owl stickers so I had to come up with something)
I have to mention that you were growling like a lion during this shoot. It's another new thing you've learned this month.
