Well it feels like we should be at least!
We've finally completed all the classes we've been told to take.
We did
4 weeks of Prepared Childbirth Classes
Infant Care Class
Breastfeeding Class
and we're now certified in Infant CPR!!
Wooh! That's a lot of time spent at the hospital. The good thing is we've gotten to know the layout pretty well, so when the big day comes we can easily navigate our way through.
Even with all these classes though, I'm still not feeling so confident about handling a baby. They're so squishy!!! I've always been scared of squishy babies. I mean, they're like little aliens with their funny shaped heads and their scrunchy faces! Oh I know, I know. As soon as I take one look at my little alien squish, I'll fall in love and he's going to be the most beautiful being on this planet. For now, he's the little squishy alien in my belly that's steeling precious Z's from me and zapping me with his little ray gun of sciatica pain.
Did I mention we are 35 weeks along?! That means only 5 more to go. I can't believe how fast time flies. I'm happy to report that we finally started working on the nursery. The crib has been ordered, the clothes have been washed and put away, and the decorations are up. This would not have been possible had my sister not helped me out! Thank you Laura!!! Once we have the crib in there and a few more things organized, I'll post up some pics.
We've also organized our bedroom so now I have room on my side of the bed to put the co-sleeper and still have room to move about. All in all, I'm definitely starting to feel less overwhelmed and way more excited to finally have him here. Only 5 more weeks!!!!!
Here are some 35 week photos!
