38 Weeks and Counting...

No signs of labor yet. Looks like Diego is happily tucked away in my belly and has no desire to show up before the holidays. I'm actually glad for that. I'd like to get through Christmas before he makes his debut. Not to mention, my doc will not be on call during Christmas weekend. Today we listened to his heart beat again. His heart beat is still beating strongly and I'm so thankful for that. I've been reading some sad stories lately about still births, etc. So any sign of him staying strong in there is such a relief!  Next week we get to peek at him again and estimate his weight. I'm hoping he's still around 7-8lbs...not sure I can handle anything bigger than that! Although, I was a 9lber myself...wooh!

We still haven't packed our hospital bags, but I guess there is no rush right? Or can it all change within a day? EEK. I guess I should get on that this weekend, just in case. I finally have an appointment set next week with the CHP to install the car seat. Still waiting for Justin to make his. Are we lagging much or what?! Its like this whole time we were kind of in denial, but we have 2 weeks left! So we better get on it. I think we'll spend this weekend working on all the final touches in Diego's room and in our room where he will be sleeping for the first couple of months.

I'm getting anxious, but still patient for his arrival.
