11 down, one more to go!!

Wow! D, you just turned 11 months! You have one more month left before you are 1!!! Time really does fly by. I want to freeze time for a moment and just hold you the way you are. I know it's part of life, but do you have to grow up? I need to make sure I get some extra hugs and kisses in now, before you start pushing me away, because I'm embarrassing you!

This time last year, I was making all the final preparations for your arrival. Finishing up the nursery, washing and putting away all your little clothes, and stacking up all the diapers we got from the shower! And here you are now, such a little man! You are, the apple of my eye!

You are:

*still a little hesitant to walk on your own, but you take 2 steps here and 3 steps there. It'll be coming soon.
*you copy everything we do, from talking on the phone, to coughing....soon we'll have to really watch what we say around you!
*you are saying several words now too: Hiiii, daddy, doggy, Toby (our cat), Abu, nene
*you point to everything you want and if you don't get it...oh boy!!!

This month too we've experienced our first real separation. Daddy left for Portland, OR mid November. You've really been missing your daddy. You pointed at the door and said daddy, a couple of times. But we keep in touch with him every day with Skype. In the mean time, mommy is trying to do her best at getting you to giggle the way daddy did right before bath time. Too bad I'm not as funny as he is!! Daddy will be back before you know it!
