Already 8 Months?! Where has the time gone?!

You are 8 months old today! Amazing. I can't believe how big you are! You look more and more every day like a big boy, and less and less like a baby. It's amazing how fast time really does go. I'm already planning your first birthday, because I know that it will be here before I know it.

Here's a recap of the things you have done and impressed us with this month.

• You FINALLY sat up on your own, without whining about it and without reaching out for us to pull you up. You were rolling around and just did it. We applauded. You were proud of yourself.
• You don't just stop at sitting, you pull yourself up to standing. Oy vey, you will be walking soon.
• You talk. No, not words yet, but you string along sounds with intonation that sounds like you are having a conversation, and I indulge you by replying "Is that so?" and "You don't say".
• You are the wiggliest of wiggliest babies I have ever seen. You can never sit still. You are always on the go climbing all over us, pulling up to a standing position, lunging forward, bouncing, anything you can do to keep moving.
• You no longer have a "gummy" smile, but you now have a "toothy" smile! 

Some of your favorites:

• Your favorite toy is a plain old water bottle
• Your favorite foods are Chicken and Scrambled Eggs.  
• You LOVE it when Oma puts you in the stroller to walk around outside, you lunge towards the stroller when you want to go out.

My little wiggle worm, you are the most amazing little baby ever! I can't wait to see what this next month brings!!

PS - I'm pretty sure last night, while you were protesting that your daddy picked you up to rock you back to sleep instead of mommy, you said "ma ma". You did end up back in my arms shortly after. Mama is here!
