Diego's 1st Birthday Party - A Winter ONEderland

I've been obsessing over D's bday party for about 6 months now. As soon as I came across the theme, I went running with it. I poured over all the beautiful party photos people posted on Pinterest every day. I became quite addicted to it. I got so many great ideas that when it came time to start making, baking, cooking, etc...I didn't know where to start. I was STRESSED to say the least.

I started by making the bunting flags a month early. I enlisted the help of my mom to sew it all together. I cut, she sewed and together we made this.

With the help of my sister, we made smaller bunting flags for the "Hot Chocolate Bar" and the "Champagne Bar".

Then it was on to the sugar cookies. I baked and glazed, while my sister and cousin decorated.

I took Thursday and Friday off work so I could do the rest of the baking, cooking, cutting, gluing....I took a couple small breaks. On Thursday, I picked Justin up from the airport and on Friday, I went to my work Xmas party. But I worked hard all around that. On Saturday, we went to my sisters and started the decorating process, and on Sunday, we enjoyed the big day!!!
We had such a great time. We are so grateful to have all of these people and more in D's life. We're going to miss you all!!!!

The sweet treats. My cousin Ge Rock made all the printables.

My mom made the Dulce de Leche cake, and my sister decorated it with all the leftover candy we had from the candy bar.
